This week Bawtry Road resembled a Dickensian Christmas scene, a blanket of snow covered the pitch as far as the eye could see. But there was no time to stand and admire the spectacle, if the game was to go ahead the important parts of the pitch would have to be cleared and the lines repainted. Credit must therefore go to the volunteers who arrived 4 hours prior to kick off to uncover the pitch markings and the end zones. After a pitch inspection by the officials and the opposing coaches, the field was passed as fit and the teams prepared for battle.


‘Outstanding’ defence earns Warriors second away win

Richard Batty heralded Sunday’s defensive performance as ‘outstanding in every facet’, with the Warriors reducing the Hull offense to one first down all game to secure their second away win of the regular season.

Head Coach Batty was ‘extremely pleased’ with the five touchdown away win in the BUAFL Conference 2 as Darren Gayle (2), Raymond Shaahu, Mike Whitson and David Saul all crossed the whitewash in the 36-0 success.
